The only Services that we might provide directly through one of our employees or agents are the guiding and photography Services. If you request Services from The French Route that require the use of an independent third-party service provider, such as a restaurant or a hotel, The French Route will use reasonable efforts to fulfill your request subject to compliance with law and The French Route’s policies. Even though Service Providers are carefully curated by The French Route, they are exclusively responsible for the quality of any work they perform and products they sell, and The French Route has no responsibility for those products or services. All quotes issued by The French Route are dependent on the availability of the requested services. To initiate the process, clients must complete the request form located on the website, or send an email at bonjour@thefrenchroute.com or at louis@thefrenchroute.com, or give us a phone call or WhatsApp call or send us a text message or a WhatsApp message at +33 6 07 32 20 77 after which The French Route will send a quote to the customer. The French Route may require more details from the Customer in order to draft the quote. This quote is subject to availability. If the Customer decides to proceed with the booking, The French Route will verify the availability of the desired Services and will notify the Customer via email. To secure the booking, the customer is required to pay either a deposit or the full travel cost as stated in the quote and outlined in the payment policy paragraph of these terms and conditions. After payment is received, The French Route will confirm the booking and issue an invoice to the customer. If the requested Service is not available, The French Route will inform the customer by email and the booking will be canceled. The customer will receive a full refund, without any compensation. However, The French Route will make every effort to suggest alternative services of equal value and provide the customer with a new quote. The travel service booking will be confirmed once a deposit or the full travel service price is received via the secure payment system used by The French Route or via bank transfer.

When booking a Service with The French Route, customers are required to pay a deposit of 30% of the total Trip costs and optional cancellation insurance or insurance coverage (if applicable), at least 60 days before the departure date. The remaining balance must be paid without any reminder from The French Route at least 60 days prior to departure date. If payment is not made within the prescribed time period, travel services and travel documents will be suspended, and the costs incurred will be at the customer’s expense. If you book less than 60 days prior to departure, you must pay the full price of the travel arrangements when you book with us. Payment may be made by bank transfer, check (provided there is enough time to clear the check) or by any major credit card acceptable to us. Full payment can be required more than 60 days prior to departure date whenever it is stated within the quote issued by The French Route or within the email to which the quote is attached. Checks must be sent by registered mail to the head office of The French Route at 12 rue de Miromesnil, 75008 Paris, France. The French Route reserves the right to request photocopies of the credit or debit card used for payment, as well as photocopies of the passport and/or identity card of the cardholder and the passenger(s), to combat credit or debit card fraud.

Should the client want to cancel the booking, he must do so via email sent at bonjour@thefrenchroute.com or at louis@thefrenchroute.com. If the cancellation happens at least 60 days before the scheduled departure or commencement time, he will receive a full refund for all services except entrance tickets to any tourist site, event tickets, train and flight tickets and any other service that does not involve refund as stated in the booking confirmation. However, The French Route will do its best to reschedule the customer’s Trip, subject to our business practices and the availability of our guides and tickets. If the customer misses or skips the original booking, The French Route reserves the right to charge full price for new Tour bookings. The French Route may also decline rescheduling if we receive notification less than four weeks before the Trip start time. When booking any third-party service through The French Travel, the customer agrees to abide by the specific cancellation policy provided by the service provider – through The French Route or directly to the customer – at the time of booking.

Prior to booking, it is essential to ensure that each traveler possesses a valid passport or national identity card for the intended journey that is appropriate for their personal situation and nationality. Additionally, travelers must have any other documents required by local authorities for entering or transiting through the destination country(s), such as visas or family registers. Travelers must consult with the appropriate embassies or consulates to obtain travel information on regulatory documents (such as visas) and health certificates (such as updated vaccination certificates) before booking and commencing the Trip. In the event that a traveler is unable to reach their destination due to missing documents, customs documents, or health certificates, no refunds of their travel cost will be given. The French Route shall not be held responsible for any consequences resulting from non-compliance with police, customs, or health regulations prior to departure or during the Trip (e.g., loss of identity documents and/or airline tickets).

If The French Route is unable to perform any obligation due to any occurrence of force majeure after a booking is confirmed, we shall notify you within ten working days from the date on which the force majeure occurs, and such notice shall state the occurrence of the force majeure and declare the event as force majeure. At the same time, we shall try our best to reduce the losses and damages caused by the force majeure and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the Customer. Force majeure refers to any unforeseeable, unavoidable and insurmountable objective circumstances when the agreement is entered into, such as but not limited to to any act of terrorism, political insurgence, uprising, war, insurrection, riot, act of civil or military authority, uprising, earthquake, typhoon, pandemic, flood or any other natural or man-made eventuality outside of our control.
