This 8-day/7-night journey begins with 4 days in Paris to explore its most famous sites and districts with knowledgeable tour guides. The second part of the trip takes you to Normandy to explore WWII historical sites, the charming town of Honfleur, and the magnificent UNESCO-listed Mont-Saint-Michel.
Day 1 - Arrival, LEISURE TIME & Dinner with Hosts
Upon arrival at Paris airport, our private driver will take you to your accommodation (about a 1-hour drive). After settling in, a team member will meet you at your hotel to provide you with information about your stay and address any questions you may have.
In the afternoon, explore Paris at your own pace, guided by personalized suggestions.
Your first Parisian dinner will be hosted in a private home where your host will prepare a famous French dish, such as pot-au-feu, and curate a selection of wine and cheese. This experience offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in Parisian culture and the French way of life.
Day 2 - Louvre, Sainte-Chapelle, Quartier Latin & DINNER CRUISE
After breakfast, meet your private guide at the Louvre. Explore its key treasures, including the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and Napoleon III apartments.
In the afternoon, visit Sainte-Chapelle to admire its 13th-century stained glass. Then, rendezvous with your guide at Parvis Notre-Dame, for a brief introduction to Notre-Dame (closed till late 2024). Explore the historic Latin Quarter, with notable sites like Sorbonne University, Panthéon, and Rue Mouffetard.
End your first full day with a Seine River dinner cruise.
Day 3 - Versailles & Eiffel Tower
A driver will take you from your hotel to Versailles, where you will spend half a day visiting the beautiful Palace and its equally famous gardens.
You will return to Paris in the early afternoon for a late lunch. Afterward, you can spend the rest of the day at your own convenience. We can also arrange something special, such as a photo shoot next to the Eiffel Tower.
Day 4 - Montmartre, Pastry Tasting, LEISURE TIME & Transfer to Normandy
After breakfast, meet your private guide in Montmartre, renowned for its charming streets and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. While exploring, savor some delicious Parisian pastries.
Lunch and the remainder of the day are yours to enjoy at your leisure. If you have any specific desires or activities you’d like to pursue, we are here to assist you.
In the late afternoon, our private driver will escort you to the train station for your first-class train journey to Normandy (roughly a 2.5-hour train ride).
Day 5 - WWII SITES: LANDING BEACHES, D-DAY MUSEUM, AMERICAN CEMETERY & MEMORIAL
Embark on a poignant one-day journey through the hallowed grounds of Normandy, starting with a solemn visit to the D-Day landing beaches, where history was forged during World War II. Explore the D-Day Museum in Arromanches, where artifacts and exhibits vividly recount the heroic events of June 6, 1944. Pay your respects at the American Cemetery and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer, a serene and beautifully maintained site honoring the fallen soldiers.
Day 6 - HONFLEUR
Begin your morning with a stroll through the picturesque Old Port of Honfleur, where colorful buildings reflect in the water. Visit the historic Sainte-Catherine Church with its unique wooden architecture. Equipped with our recommendation, enjoy fresh seafood at a local waterfront restaurant for lunch.
If you’re interested in art, continue your exploration with a visit to the Eugene Boudin Museum, showcasing Impressionist art, followed by a walk along the cobblestone streets of the town, exploring art galleries and quaint shops.
Day 7 - MONT-SAINT-MICHEL
Today, you will experience the enchantment of Mont-Saint-Michel. Your day begins with a private transfer from your hotel to this UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival, explore the narrow, winding streets of the medieval village, admiring its Gothic architecture and breathtaking views. Visit the awe-inspiring abbey perched atop the rocky mount, steeped in history and spirituality. Several restaurants are located on Mont-Saint-Michel, and we will share our preferred options with you. In the late afternoon, our driver will take you back to your hotel.
Day 7 - LEISURE TIME & DEPARTURE
After breakfast, you will be free to enjoy the hotel facilities at your own convenience. We can also organize a visit of the quaint seaside town of Port-en-Bessin-Huppain. Our driver will then take you to the train station. Upon arrival in Paris, you will be escorted to the airport for your outbound flight.
