This 11-day vacation will allow you to discover the highlights of Paris and the beautiful Renaissance-era Loire Valley Castles. It will end with a getaway to the Bordeaux Vineyards, including a one-day excursion to the famous Arcachon Bay, where you will see the highest sand dune in Europe.
Day 1 - Arrival, LEISURE TIME & Dinner with Hosts
Upon arrival at Paris airport, our private driver will take you to your accommodation (about a 1-hour drive). After settling in, a team member will meet you at your hotel to provide you with information about your stay and address any questions you may have.
In the afternoon, explore Paris at your own pace, guided by personalized suggestions.
Your first Parisian dinner will be hosted in a private home where your host will prepare a famous French dish, such as pot-au-feu, and curate a selection of wine and cheese. This experience offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in Parisian culture and the French way of life.
Day 2 - Louvre, Sainte-Chapelle, Quartier Latin & DINNER CRUISE
After breakfast, meet your private guide at the Louvre. Explore its key treasures, including the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and Napoleon III apartments.
In the afternoon, visit Sainte-Chapelle to admire its 13th-century stained glass. Then, rendezvous with your guide at Parvis Notre-Dame, for a brief introduction to Notre-Dame (closed till late 2024). Explore the historic Latin Quarter, with notable sites like Sorbonne University, Panthéon, and Rue Mouffetard.
End your first full day with a Seine River dinner cruise.
Day 3 - Versailles & Eiffel Tower
A driver will take you from your hotel to Versailles, where you will spend half a day visiting the beautiful Palace and its equally famous gardens.
You will return to Paris in the early afternoon for a late lunch. Afterward, you can spend the rest of the day at your own convenience. We can also arrange something special, such as a photo shoot next to the Eiffel Tower.
DAY 4 - MONTMARTRE, PASTRY TASTING & TRANSFER TO LOIRE VALLEY
fter breakfast, you’ll meet with our private tour guide at Montmartre to explore this charming and historic Parisian neighborhood, well-known for its quaint cobbled streets and the iconic Sacre Coeur basilica. While strolling through Montmartre, our guide will treat you to some famous Parisian pastries.
Lunch will be at your leisure. The following hours can be spent shopping or, if you prefer, we can arrange another activity for you.
Finally, our chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel to escort you to the train station. After a 1-hour and 15-minute train ride to Tours, you’ll be transported to your hotel.
Day 5 - CHAMBORD & CHAUMONT-SUR-LOIRE CASTLES
After breakfast, your driver will transport you to Chambord Castle, likely the most renowned castle in the Loire Valley. Originally constructed as a hunting lodge for Francis I, it’s particularly celebrated for its breathtaking open double-spiral staircase, possibly designed by Leonardo Da Vinci.
In the afternoon, you’ll explore Chaumont-sur-Loire Castle and its renowned gardens.
DAY 6 - AZAY-LE-RIDEAU CASTLE, PRIVATE WINE & CHEESE TASTING
Today, your personal driver-guide will escort you to the enchanting Azay-le-Rideau Castle. This remarkable castle gives the illusion of floating on water and was constructed by Berthelot, who served as the Mayor of Tours and the Treasurer-General of the King’s finances.
Following a tour of the castle, you’ll have some free time to explore the charming village of Azay-le-Rideau, where you’ll find various lunch choices.
In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a Loire Valley wine estate and indulge in tastings of several wines paired with local goat cheese.
Day 8 - Bordeaux Town & PASTRY MASTER CLASS
After breakfast, you’ll immerse yourself in history with an exclusive private tour of Bordeaux. Your private guide will also treat you to a tasting of canelés, Bordeaux’s iconic pastries. Lunch at your convenience.
In the afternoon, you will visit and its Cité du Vin, the city’s renowned wine museum. It offers an immersive experience in the fascinating world of wine, from interactive exhibits to sensory experiences and wine tastings.
After lunch, which is at your convenience but guided by our recommendation, you will be escorted to your hotel in the Bordeaux vineyards. You will then learn how to cook French pastries with the pastry chef from the hotel.
Day 9 - SAINT-ÉMILION TOWN & GRAND CRU CLASSÉ WINE ESTATE TOUR & TASTING
Begin your day in the picturesque town of Saint-Émilion, where ancient cobblestone streets wind through the historic architecture of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed village.
After lunch, continue your day with a private tour of a Grand Cru Classé vineyard. You will go through the vines, visit the cellars and finish the tour with a tasting experience of different wines from the Château.
Day 10 - ARCACHON BAY BOAT RIDE & PYLA sAND DUNE
Your final full day in France will be truly memorable. You’ll have the opportunity to experience a half-day private boat tour in the Arcachon Bay aboard a traditional pinasse, a local boat. In the afternoon, you can relax beside – and even ascend – the breathtaking Pyla sand dune, which happens to be the tallest sand dune in Europe.
